Special Interests
I absolutely love Scuba Diving. I lived in California close to three years and had the opportunity to do a lot of diving. I had a particularly memorable experience with a Harbor Seal on Catalina Island last February.
I also enjoy camping, exploring caves and caverns, and working with Marine Mammals. I have volunteered at the Indianapolis Zoo working with the dolphins, walruses, and sea lions, and spent two summers at Sea World of Texas working behind the scenes with the trainers.
Singing and performing is another one of my hobbies. I grew up performing with all sorts of performing arts programs, and most recently had the opportunity to be one of Neil Young’s dancers for his last tour. I am also an alumni member of Ball State University Singers.
Pets
Mika is my beautiful Sun Conure, and she is approximately 41/2.
She is a rescue from the first animal hospital I worked at. A client of ours found her in their dog’s mouth, almost dead, and by the wonderful care and love of the doctor and staff we were able to restore her to perfect health. We had no luck finding her owner, and I had immediately fallen in love with her. She’s been my baby ever since.
